Set amongst the beaming sunlight and glowering shadows of the Ecuadorian rain forest, TSANTSA (meaning "shrunken head" in the Jivaro Indian language) is the extraordinary tale of the battle between good and evil and the collision between two religions-Catholicism which commands, "Thou Shalt Not Kill," and the Jivaro animist belief which cries out in a spirit voice, "Thou Must."

Tsantsa Ted Sabine 9781465386564 Books Reviews
This is a fascinating tale of the clash of cultures in the wilds of Ecuador. The descriptions of the jungle are vivid - you are immersed into its sights and sounds. The rigidness of the priest and the 'old one' are the real heart of the story. You will be thinking about it long after you put the book down.
This book is written in a unique style, with a backdrop of clashing cultures and religions in a thought provoking, intriguing manner. When I hit the last part of the book, I couldn't quit until I finished it. The characters are vividly and sympathetically drawn. It was quite a jungle ride. And, now I want to see a blue Morpho butterfly.
